Miranda Family Practice is a group practice offering a full range of general practice services. We are located in the southern suburbs of Sydney.

At Miranda Family Practice we hold a firm commitment to ensure that you obtain the maximum benefit from the services and facilities that we have available.

The word "Miranda" is derived from the Latin word miror, mirare, miravi, miratus. "Mirare" means "to admire", making Miranda "something admirable", "worthy of admiration", "something to admire".

Surgery Hours

Monday to Friday 8am - 6.00pm
Saturday 8am - 11.30am
No Sunday or public holidays.

After Hours Service

Our doctors serve on a roster system with Kareena After Hours Medical Service:
This service is open from 7.00pm until 10.30pm Monday - Friday
                                        1.00pm until 10.00pm Saturday
                                        9.00am until 10.00pm Sunday and public holidays.

Kareena Hospital also operates a 24 hour Accident and Emergency Department.

Note: The Emergency Department charges a fee, please check when phoning.
 
The Casualty Department at Sutherland Hospital, phone 9540 7111 is open 24 hours and can be contacted for urgent problems.

In the case of chest pain or other life threatening emergencies, please phone for an ambulance on 000.

They are available weeknights 7.00pm to 6.00am, weekends from noon Saturday to 6.00am Monday and Public Holidays from 7.00am to 6.00am the following morning.
